Application of butterfly valve

Butterfly valves are suitable for flow regulation. Due to the relatively large pressure loss of the butterfly valve in the pipeline, the robustness of the butterfly plate to withstand the pressure of the pipeline medium when closed should also be considered. In addition, it is necessary to consider the limitation of the working temperature of the elastic valve seat material at high temperatures. The butterfly valve has small structural length and overall height, fast opening and closing speed, and good fluid control characteristics. The structure principle of the butterfly valve is most suitable for manufacturing large diameter valves. When a butterfly valve is needed to control the flow, the most important thing is to correctly select the size and type of the butterfly valve so that it can work correctly and effectively.

Generally, in throttling, regulating control and mud media, short structure length and fast opening and closing speed (1/4 revolution) are required. For low pressure cut-off (small pressure difference), butterfly valve is recommended.

When performing two-position adjustment, narrow passage, low noise, cavitation and vaporization, a small amount of leakage into the atmosphere and grinding media, butterfly valves can be used.

When the butterfly valve is used under special conditions such as throttling adjustment, strict sealing requirements, severe wear, and low temperature (low temperature), the triple-eccentric or double-eccentric butterfly valve requires a specially designed metal sealing belt adjustment device.

The butterfly valve is suitable for fresh water, sewage, sea water, salt water, steam, natural gas, food, medicine, petroleum and all kinds of needs to be completely sealed, zero gas leakage test, and can also be widely used in petroleum, petrochemical, chemical, metallurgy, electric power and other fields. Gate valves and globe valves are good alternatives.
